Saudi Foreign Minister Urges Resumption of Talks in Sudan Conflict

Manama, The Gulf Observer: During his participation at the 33rd Arab League Summit convened in the Bahraini capital, Manama, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reiterated the Kingdom’s deep concerns regarding the escalating tensions between warring factions in Sudan.

Prince Faisal emphasized the urgent need for the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to uphold a ceasefire and return to dialogue, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to resolving the conflict and alleviating civilian suffering.

Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the United States, continues to spearhead mediation efforts aimed at urging both sides in Sudan to bring an end to the ongoing hostilities.

Addressing the conflict in Gaza, Prince Faisal cautioned against the dangerous ramifications of Israel’s broadening military operations against Hamas. He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s call for immediate international intervention to halt the violence and mitigate the humanitarian crisis in the region.

Turning to the situation in Yemen, Prince Faisal reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for endeavors to achieve lasting peace in the war-torn country. He emphasized the importance of a comprehensive political solution through constructive dialogue and consultation between all parties involved, paving the way for economic revitalization and recovery in Yemen.
