Sudanese official hails Qatar’s aid for flood victims
Khartoum, The Gulf Observer: The Governor of Kassala State in eastern Sudan Khojaly Hamad Abdalla praised the urgent relief aid provided by the state of Qatar to those affected by the effects of floods and torrential rains that hit the state.
He added that Qatar’s aid in Sudan stands witness to the Qatari unwavering support, pointing out that whenever there is an urgent call for supporting their brothers in Sudan, the State of Qatar promptly responds to this call, including its permanent presence as it happens these days to supply the affected people with relief aids. He emphasized that the Sudanese people highly appreciate what is being done by Qatar in the entire field in pursuit of supporting the stability of Sudan.
For his part, Ambassador of Qatar to Sudan H E Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Kubaisi confirmed that the convoy of Qatari aid that was launched yesterday for the sake of people affected by floods in Kassala city, eastern Sudan, includes roughly 82 tonnes of foodstuff, including 300 shelter vents that would be distributed to the flood-affected villages through Qatar Charity’s technical teams along with Qatar Red Crescent Society. His Excellency stressed the importance of persistently affording Qatari aid to the brothers in Sudan in multiple fields.
