Science Festival kicks off in Oman

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The third edition of the Oman Science Festival, under the slogan ‘With science we meet again’, will start today at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre and will continue for six days.

The festival aims to disseminate science to students and members of society in an easy way, in an interactive way that stimulates creative thinking, and a positive trend towards science, innovation and scientific research.

In an effort to keep pace with global trends based on the dissemination of science and technology and the future changes and developments, students will be encouraged to realise the importance of science in life, urging them to innovate, enhance their skills to integrate into the knowledge-based economy, and encouraging them to continue learning in scientific disciplines.

The festival has the participation of 110 government, private, military and civil institutions and bodies, and associations, and more than 1,000 participants, and it will include approximately 452 various activities, interactive scientific seminars, scientific exhibitions of innovations, experiments and scientific competitions, lectures and discussion sessions, and scientific theatre.
