Emirates Health Services Collaborates with Amazon in Interactive Workshop

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In alignment with the UAE Innovation Month “UAE Innovates 2024,” the Training and Development Centre at Emirates Health Services (EHS) successfully organized an interactive workshop in collaboration with Amazon. The workshop aimed at supporting EHS’ innovation strategy and implementing projects that contribute to healthcare advancements. The event saw participation from EHS leadership, Innovation Diploma graduates, Youth Council members, hospital directors, department heads, partners, and leaders from universities and academic institutions.

The interactive workshop focused on developing initiatives that align with EHS’ innovation strategy for 2023-2026. These initiatives aim to enhance the sustainability of the healthcare sector, align with the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031, and contribute to the national vision “We the UAE 2031,” leading toward the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071. EHS actively participates in “UAE Innovates 2024” by offering diverse interactive activities, workshops, and lectures to enhance capabilities and recognize outstanding innovators.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services, emphasized that the collaboration with Amazon underscores EHS’ commitment to healthcare sector development and empowering the skills of its medical and administrative staff. The workshop serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, sharing best practices, exploring innovative solutions, and leveraging modern technological applications to enhance the quality of health services.

Dr. Kalthoom AlBlooshi, Chief Innovation Officer and Director of the Training and Development Centre at EHS, highlighted the significance of strategic partnerships in continuous development within the healthcare sector. She emphasized EHS’ alignment with UAE directives to foster an innovative culture, contributing to the country’s position as a global innovation hub, particularly in healthcare.

Through its innovation strategy for 2023-2026, EHS aims to ensure the sustainability of health innovations and contribute to the overall development of the health sector. The strategy focuses on creating an innovation-friendly environment, promoting a culture of innovation, and building internal competencies. EHS strives for constant improvement through pilot projects, experimental models, and expanding the impact of innovations to shape the future of the healthcare sector. The strategy also emphasizes expanding partnerships to develop health innovation and adopting strategic initiatives in collaboration with relevant partners while supporting emerging companies in the healthcare field.
