Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister and ECO Secretary General Discuss Enhanced Collaboration

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held discussions with Asad Majeed Khan, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), focusing on advancing regional economic cooperation. The meeting underscored the significance of the 16th ECO Summit, held last year in Tashkent under the theme “Together Towards Economic Stability and Development,” in strengthening the organization’s regional impact.

Minister Saidov highlighted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiatives within the ECO framework, emphasizing the importance of developing effective cooperation mechanisms and aligning on a schedule for forthcoming events. In a statement on his official Telegram channel, Saidov remarked, “It was a pleasure to meet H.E. Asad Majeed Khan. We discussed the vital role of the Tashkent Summit in raising the ECO’s profile and focused on practical approaches to enhance collaboration.”
