Uzbekistan's Students Achieve Victory in Tech4Good Competition

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Representing diverse nations, teams from Uzbekistan, Algeria, Singapore, Italy, Chile, UAE, Colombia, Germany, Brazil, and Namibia showcased their innovation and commitment to social impact in the finals of the global Tech4Good competition. Organized by Huawei on January 11, 2024, the competition provided a platform for these international teams to present their technological solutions aimed at addressing societal challenges and contributing to the betterment of communities worldwide.

The “Techno Mind” team, consisting of students from five universities of Uzbekistan – Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha and Amity Universities in Tashkent, Kimyo International University in Tashkent, and New Uzbekistan University – presented the “Aquatibia” project. It is based on an integrating water filtration system with an innovative filter.

The project received a Silver Award and was named “audience choice” in voting for the People’s Choice Award.
