2025 to Mark a Milestone in Iran-Türkiye Cultural Relations
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: The head of the Iranian Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, has described 2025 as a pivotal year for cultural relations between Iran and Türkiye. His remarks were made during a meeting with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, according to a report from NHC on Thursday.
Imanipour emphasized that Iran is proposing the opening ceremony of the cultural year to be held in February 2025, coinciding with Iran’s National Day. This symbolic timing, he noted, would underscore the deep historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
Turkish Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy echoed Imanipour’s sentiments, highlighting that 2025 will witness significant advancements in bilateral cultural relations. He stressed the importance of organizing specialized and technical meetings to ensure the success of these cultural initiatives.
Ersoy also mentioned the annual Türkiye Culture Route Festival, which attracts 60% of the country’s population. He expressed readiness to welcome Iran as a special guest at the festival in 2025, providing an opportunity for Iranian representatives to engage directly with Turkish citizens, further strengthening cultural exchange.
The meeting between the two cultural leaders underscores the growing commitment of Iran and Türkiye to fostering closer ties through cultural diplomacy, with 2025 set to be a landmark year in this ongoing collaboration.
