Azerbaijani Badminton Player Wins Gold at “VICTOR Türkiye International Challenge”
Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijani badminton player Keisha Fatima Zahra secured a gold medal at the prestigious “VICTOR Türkiye International Challenge 2024” tournament held in Istanbul. The victory was announced by the press service of the Badminton Federation.
Keisha Fatima Zahra, who entered the tournament from the 1/16 finals, delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition, defeating top-tier athletes from Denmark, Ukraine, and France in the women’s singles category. Her impressive run culminated in a decisive final match against Denmark’s Amalie Schulza.
In the final, Keisha dominated both sets, winning 21:11 and 21:9 to claim the gold medal. The victory not only showcases her remarkable skill and determination but also marks a significant achievement for Azerbaijani badminton on the international stage.
The Badminton Federation praised Keisha’s performance, noting her resilience and tactical prowess as key factors in her journey to the top of the podium.
