AA Kenya and FIA Launch 2025 Best Driver Challenge to Promote Road Safety and Driving Excellence

Nairobi, The Gulf Observer: AA Kenya, in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), has officially launched the 2025 edition of the Best Driver Challenge — a flagship road safety competition that continues to inspire and empower Kenyan drivers.
Now in its third year, the challenge has become a landmark event in Kenya’s road safety calendar, providing a national platform for drivers to showcase their skills, advocate for safer roads, and compete for prestigious prizes.
This year’s competition is open to drivers across four distinct categories:
- Best Young Driver (ages 18–26)
- The Masters (ages 27–50)
- The Legends (51 and above)
- Ladies-Only Challenge, exclusively for women aged 26 and above
Eligibility criteria include holding a valid Class B Kenyan driving license and maintaining a clean road safety record with no convictions for serious traffic offences. Past winners or finalists from previous editions are not eligible to participate.
The multi-stage competition kicks off with online registration, followed by a road safety theory test. Practical driving assessments will then be held in key cities across the country:
- Eldoret – May 10, at Eldoret Sports Club
- Mombasa – May 31, at Mama Ngina Waterfront
- Nakuru – June 14, at Rift Valley Sports Club
- Nairobi – June 28, at Carnivore Grounds
Winners from the regional events will advance to the national finals, scheduled for July 19 in Nairobi.
Outstanding prizes await top performers, including fully sponsored participation in an international driving championship, trophies, cash awards, gift hampers, and exclusive benefits such as all-expenses-paid trips to top Kenyan destinations, advanced defensive driving training by AA Kenya, and a one-year International Driving License.
Special recognition will also be given for individual excellence in select challenge areas.
“The 2025 Best Driver Challenge is more than just a competition — it’s a national movement for safer roads,” said AA Kenya CEO, adding that the initiative is designed to cultivate a culture of responsible driving across all age groups and demographics.
Interested participants are urged to register now and secure their place in what promises to be an exciting and impactful journey.
