Abdullah bin Zayed Meets with UN Official to Discuss Gaza Crisis
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, held a meeting with Muhannad Hadi, Deputy Special Coordinator and Resident Coordinator of the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO), in Abu Dhabi.
The discussions centered on the current developments in the Middle East region, with a particular focus on the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Sheikh Abdullah and Hadi explored strategies to enhance regional and international efforts to address the crisis through coordinated and sustainable mechanisms.
The meeting emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to safeguard civilian lives and support efforts aimed at addressing the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza. Sheikh Abdullah underscored the UAE’s steadfast commitment to the Palestinian people and reiterated full support for Hadi’s initiatives to provide necessary humanitarian assistance and alleviate the suffering of civilians in Gaza.
Also present at the meeting were Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations.
