Abu Dhabi Secures Historic Host Role for April’s Saudi Super Cup

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In a groundbreaking development for Middle Eastern football, Abu Dhabi has been chosen as the host city for this year’s edition of the Saudi Super Cup, set to unfold across two prominent stadiums in the emirate on 8th and 11th April. This marks the inaugural occasion that the tournament, a prestigious fixture in Saudi Arabian football, will take place outside the kingdom.
The successful hosting bid was spearheaded by Experience Abu Dhabi, the destination brand representing the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). The selection of Abu Dhabi as the host city reflects the emirate’s growing prominence as a hub for premier sporting events and underscores its commitment to fostering a diverse and vibrant entertainment landscape.
The three-match tournament commences on 8th April at 21:00 with a clash between Al-Ittihad Club and Al Wehda FC at Al-Nahyan Stadium. This is followed by an exciting matchup between Al Hilal SFC and Al-Nassr FC at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium at 23:30. The final, scheduled for 11th April, will witness the victorious teams from the earlier matches competing at the same venue.
