Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies Celebrates 11th Batch Graduation

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies celebrated the passing out of its 11th batch yesterday, comprising senior officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security departments. The course also included participants from various ministries and civil institutions.
The passing-out ceremony was held under the auspices of Lt. Gen. Said Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service, with Maj. Gen. Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, also in attendance.
During the ceremony, a visual presentation showcased the course’s study programs, practical applications, related visits, as well as lectures and symposia delivered by military and security leaders. The Academy successfully attracted heads of regional and international organizations, senior military commanders, experts, thinkers, strategic researchers, and decision-makers from both the Sultanate of Oman and abroad.
Following the presentations, the chief guest, Lt. Gen. Al Hilali, distributed certificates to the course participants.
The course, which commenced on September 7, 2023, aimed to provide an academic environment that stimulates innovation, learning, research, and development. It equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills essential for assuming leadership positions and actively contributing to the formulation of public policies, national strategies, and sound strategic decisions in the fields of security and defence.
The ceremony was attended by SAF commanders, military and security service leaders, members of the State Council and Shura Council, senior officers from SAF and other military and security services, as well as veteran officers.
