Al Ardha Camel Race Concludes in Al Amerat as Part of 2026 Muscat Nights

Al Amerat, The Gulf Observer: The two-day Al Ardha camel race competitions concluded on Friday and Saturday at the camel racecourse in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, as part of the programmes and activities of 2026 Muscat Nights.
Camel Khamisa, owned by Mohammed bin Nasser Al Hakamani from the Wilayat of Barka, claimed the 2026 Muscat Nights’ Bayraq (flag) prize at the Al Zamat Camel Race. The second place went to camel Samha, owned by Musa’ab bin Hamad Al Jalandani from the Wilayat of Sumail, while camel Shahbaz, owned by Mohammed bin Rabie Al Rahbi from the Wilayat of Ibra, secured third place.
In the Al Tamayoz race, Muaz bin Amer Al Saadi, Musa’ab bin Amer Al Saadi, Salim bin Ali Al Qutaiti, and Ali bin Salim Al Qutaiti emerged as winners. Mohammed bin Yousef Al Rahbi and Mohammed bin Nasser Al Rahbi won the prizes for the distinct riders category.
The Al Zamat and Al Bayraq camel races headlined the Al Ardha camel racing event, which was organised by camel owners in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, Muscat Governorate. The event attracted more than 200 participants from various governorates across the Sultanate of Oman.
Sheikh Hamid bin Nasser Al Kathiri, Deputy Wali of Al Amerat, presided over the closing ceremony. He honoured the winners of the competitions, as well as the organisations contributing to the success of the event and members of the organising committees.
