Aliyev Announces Progress on Zangilan Railway, Highlights Regional Connectivity Plans

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev announced that the construction of the railway to Zangilan is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed next year. He made the remarks during a meeting with residents of Kalbajar city.
“The construction of the railway to Zangilan is already well underway. It will probably be completed next year,” President Aliyev stated.
The head of state further emphasized that significant efforts are also underway to modernize railway infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He noted that plans are in place for railway construction on the territory of Armenia as well, underscoring Armenia’s commitment to this obligation.
“In other words, Armenia has also taken on this obligation, and this is yet another historic success for us,” Aliyev said, highlighting the broader regional significance of the project.
