Arkadag Celebrates Its First Anniversary
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Today, the city of Arkadag celebrates the first anniversary of its opening. On this occasion, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, sent a congratulatory message to the residents and all Turkmen citizens.
In his message, President Berdimuhamedov highlighted that the city of Arkadag symbolizes the economic prosperity of Turkmenistan, representing colossal opportunities and a bright future for the younger generation. He expressed confidence that the celebrations marking the anniversary will strengthen unity and pride in the nation’s achievements during the new era of the Renaissance.
Built in the picturesque foothills of Kopetdag, Arkadag is a “smart” city that leverages innovative technologies, digital systems, and advanced information and communication technologies. Emphasizing environmental well-being and the relationship between nature and man, Arkadag was awarded a certificate for joining the “Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions” project by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
“With the construction of Arkadag, thousands of compatriots have been provided with new jobs and comfortable housing,” noted President Berdimuhamedov. He reaffirmed that state support for individuals and families is a key principle of national policy.
