Chennai, The Gulf Observer: Australia wrapped the tour to India on a high as they defeated Rohit Sharma and Company by 21 runs in the final ODI to clinch the three-match series 2-1.

Australia, who won the toss and opted to bat, posted 269 runs in 49 overs.

Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav led India’s attack and scalped three wickets each. India in response got off to a strong start as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill added 65 runs for the opening wicket.

Virat Kohli scored a half-century, while Hardik Pandya played a fighting run a ball 40. However, wickets at regular intervals kept Australia in the contest.

Adam Zampa scalped four wickets in his quota, while Ashton Agar scalped two, both came in his final over.
