Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Foreign Ministers Discuss Strategic Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu, held a phone conversation to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation, according to a statement from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussions emphasized the deep strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Both ministers praised the strong ties of friendship and collaboration between their nations, particularly in areas of regional relations and joint initiatives within international organizations.

A key point of the conversation focused on Azerbaijan’s priorities for its upcoming Chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) for 2024-2026. The two ministers exchanged views on how to further enhance cooperation within multilateral platforms and international organizations.

The call also included discussions on other matters of mutual interest, underscoring the close diplomatic ties and shared goals of the two countries.
