Azerbaijan and NATO Discuss Future Cooperation Plans

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Representatives from the International Cooperation Branch of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan recently met with their counterparts from NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), and NATO’s International Military Staff. The meetings focused on assessing the practical aspects of military cooperation over the past years and planning for future collaborations, as noted on JFCBS’s official X account, according to media reports.

The discussions highlighted the importance of partnerships for NATO’s operational effectiveness. “Partnerships like this are essential for NATO’s work, and the dialogue and military cooperation between the two partners will continue. We are Stronger Together,” JFCBS emphasized.

The Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) is one of NATO’s three operational-level headquarters, alongside JFC Naples in Italy and JFC Norfolk in the United States. JFC Brunssum is responsible for planning, executing, and supporting military operations within its assigned missions. It aims to deter and defend against all threats across all domains to preserve the freedom, security, national sovereignty, and peace of NATO members and partners.

This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of Azerbaijan and NATO to enhance their military cooperation, reflecting a shared dedication to maintaining regional and global security.
