Azerbaijan and Uganda Explore Agricultural Cooperation Prospects

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Ilhama Gadimova, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, held a meeting with a Ugandan delegation led by John Mulimba, Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Affairs.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Gadimova presented an overview of the current state of Azerbaijan’s agrarian sector and outlined the mechanisms of state support provided to agriculture. She underlined Azerbaijan’s interest in enhancing cooperation with partner countries in agriculture as well as in other areas.
Discussions focused on the prospects of agricultural collaboration between Azerbaijan and Uganda, including the exchange of information on products with high export potential, boosting trade in agricultural and food products, and expanding ties between business communities from both countries.
Minister John Mulimba emphasized that Uganda regards Azerbaijan as a friendly country and expressed his nation’s keen interest in expanding partnerships across all sectors, particularly agriculture, where he noted significant opportunities for growth.
Both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to deepening agrarian cooperation and exchanged views on issues of shared interest.
