Azerbaijan Earns Praise for Balanced and Successful COP, Says U.S. Chamber of Commerce Official

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan delivered a highly successful Conference of the Parties (COP), effectively balancing global energy needs with sustainability goals, a senior official of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said.
Speaking to journalists, Khush Choksy, Senior Vice President for International Member Relations and Senior Vice President for the Middle East and Türkiye at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, commended Azerbaijan’s approach during the conference.
He noted that Azerbaijan addressed the continued global demand for traditional energy sources while simultaneously advancing discussions on renewable energy development. “Azerbaijan focused on traditional sources of energy, which the world still needs, and at the same time looked at renewable sources of energy as well,” he said.
Choksy described this approach as striking the “perfect balance,” underscoring Azerbaijan’s ability to host a forward-looking and inclusive COP that reflected both current realities and future energy transitions.
