Baku, The Gulf Observer: In adherence to the directive of President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ongoing return of former internally displaced persons to the revitalized city of Lachin and the Zabukh village of Lachin district remains underway, as reported by media outlets.
In the latest development, 21 families comprising 65 individuals have relocated to the city of Lachin, while an additional 2 families totaling 4 individuals have resettled in the village of Zabukh.
These resettled families are finding new homes in residences within Lachin that have been restored or reconstructed in accordance with directives from the head of state subsequent to the conclusion of the Armenian occupation. Expressing their gratitude, residents of Lachin extend their appreciation to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for their unwavering support and comprehensive care throughout this process. Additionally, they convey heartfelt thanks to the courageous Azerbaijani Army for liberating the territories from occupation.
To date, permanent settlement in the city of Lachin has been facilitated for 493 families, constituting 1838 individuals, while permanent residency in the village of Zabukh has been arranged for 217 families, totaling 823 individuals.
These ongoing efforts underscore Azerbaijan’s commitment to restoring normalcy and providing a secure and prosperous future for its citizens, as well as the steadfast determination to reclaim and rebuild territories previously under occupation.
