Azerbaijan Initiates Next Phase of Resettlement to Jabrayil
Baku, The Gulf Observer: In line with the directives of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has launched the next phase of the resettlement process to the recently liberated city of Jabrayil, NHC reports.
As part of this phase, 40 families, totaling 123 individuals, were permanently relocated to Jabrayil. This follows the earlier resettlement of 117 families, or 364 people, marking significant progress in the government’s efforts to restore and repopulate the region.
The city of Jabrayil, previously uninhabited due to the conflict, is witnessing renewed life as families return to rebuild their homes and communities. The resettlement initiative is part of Azerbaijan’s broader post-conflict reconstruction plan, aimed at revitalizing the liberated territories.
Azerbaijan’s government has prioritized infrastructure development, ensuring that essential services such as housing, schools, healthcare, and utilities are established to support the returning population. The successful completion of the latest phase represents a step toward achieving long-term stability and development in the region.
The resettlement process is expected to continue in the coming months, with more families scheduled to return to Jabrayil and other liberated areas as Azerbaijan focuses on reintegrating its citizens and restoring the region’s historical significance.
