Azerbaijan Karabakh Center Marks World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, New Year in Sweden

Stockholm, The Gulf Observer: The Azerbaijan Karabakh Center in Sweden hosted a festive celebration to mark World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, bringing together members of the Azerbaijani community from Gothenburg and neighboring cities.
The event gathered Azerbaijanis living in the region to celebrate their shared heritage, national identity and unity. The program was opened by young activists Masuma Rustamli and Gulnisa Ibrahimova, who spoke about the historical and cultural significance of December 31 for Azerbaijanis living abroad.
In her address, Ulviyya Najafova, head of the Azerbaijan Karabakh Center and Gothenburg coordinator for the Coordination Council of Swedish Azerbaijanis, stressed the importance of preserving and passing on the spirit of solidarity to future generations within the diaspora.
The celebration featured national music, traditional dances performed by children and the recitation of patriotic poems. The event concluded with a gift-giving ceremony for children, adding to the festive atmosphere and reinforcing a sense of community and cultural continuity.
