Azerbaijan Participates in Türkiye-Hosted ‘Nusret-2025’ International Naval Exercise

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The “Nusret-2025 Invitation Exercise” has commenced in the Gulf of Saros under the auspices of Türkiye, bringing together naval and air forces from NATO member states and Türkiye, alongside relevant units of the Turkish Coast Guard Command. The exercise also includes observers from multiple countries, reflecting broad international engagement.

A group of servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army is actively participating in the multinational exercise, which aims to boost coordination and enhance proficiency in mine warfare operations.

The primary objective of “Nusret-2025” is to strengthen the participating units’ and commands’ knowledge and skills in planning, executing, and evaluating mine warfare missions. The exercise also seeks to reinforce interoperability and foster mutual cooperation between the Turkish Naval Forces and the naval forces of allied and friendly nations.

In addition to Azerbaijan, representatives from 44 entities across Bahrain, Bulgaria, Egypt, Indonesia, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Oman, Pakistan, Peru, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America are taking part in the exercise.

“Nusret-2025” underscores Türkiye’s commitment to international maritime collaboration and contributes significantly to enhancing global naval readiness and collective security efforts.
