Azerbaijan Receives New Proposals for Peace Agreement from Armenia

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, announced that the country has received another set of proposals regarding a peace agreement from the Armenian side in early January of this year. The minister addressed journalists during a press briefing, shedding light on the ongoing diplomatic developments in the region.

Minister Bayramov revealed that the Azerbaijani government is currently engaged in an internal review of the received proposals, following the established procedural protocols. “We have received another package of proposals on a peace agreement from the Armenian side in early January of this year,” stated Minister Bayramov. “I think that we will most likely respond to Armenia in the coming weeks,” he added, indicating that Azerbaijan is actively considering its stance on the proposed peace agreement.

The minister emphasized that, in addition to diplomatic channels, negotiations on a peace agreement are also being pursued through direct meetings. This signifies a multifaceted approach by both nations to foster dialogue and seek common ground in the pursuit of a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.

The developments come against the backdrop of efforts to consolidate diplomatic ties and resolve longstanding issues between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The receipt and subsequent review of proposals demonstrate a commitment to the diplomatic process as both nations work towards a mutually acceptable agreement. The coming weeks are anticipated to bring further clarity on the responses and potential progress in the ongoing peace negotiations.
