Azerbaijan relocates 23 more families to Lachin city
Baku, The Gulf Observer: In accordance with the directive of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the return of former IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) to the newly rebuilt city of Lachin continues, according to media reports.
On October 20th, the next migration convoy set off from the “Gobu Park 3” residential complex in Garadag district of Baku. At this stage, an additional 23 families, totaling 83 individuals, were relocated to the city of Lachin.
Under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as a result of the triumphant success of the Azerbaijani army, an opportunity has arisen for the internally displaced individuals to voluntarily, safely, and with dignity return to their native lands after 30 years.
The residents of the increasingly beautiful and developed city of Lachin express their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they receive. They also extend their gratitude to the heroic Azerbaijani Army, which liberated our lands, and to the valiant soldiers and officers. They remember our martyrs, who sacrificed their lives on this path, with great respect.
The resettled families will live in the houses they once lived in Lachin, which were restored or rebuilt on the basis of the instructions of the head of state after the end of the occupation.
This means that in the city of Lachin, permanent residence has been provided for 295 families, or 1135 individuals in total.
