Azerbaijan Showcases ASAN AI Hub to International Delegation in Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, met with a high-level international delegation led by Ang Li, Regional Vice President of Huawei for the Middle East and Central Asia; Steve Nouri, CEO and co-founder of GenAI Works; and Khaladdin Rzayev, Co-Director of the Edinburgh Financial Innovations Center and Lecturer in Finance at the University of Edinburgh.
The delegation’s visit to Baku was organized in connection with the presentation ceremony of the ASAN Artificial Intelligence platform (ASAN AI Hub), a new initiative developed by the State Agency to enhance innovation in public service delivery.
During the meeting, the guests were briefed on the operations of the “ASAN Khidmet” Centers, established at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, and the advanced solutions introduced within the public service sector. Officials highlighted that ASAN has grown into a globally recognized intellectual brand exported to more than 30 countries.
The delegation also toured several key ASAN facilities and projects, including the “ASAN Khidmet” Center, the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center, the Mobile ASAN service, and the “ABAD” public legal entity, gaining insight into Azerbaijan’s innovative approaches to digital governance, service accessibility, and entrepreneurship support.
The visit underscored Azerbaijan’s commitment to expanding international cooperation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, as well as promoting its innovative public service model on the global stage.
