Azerbaijan Urges Global Action on Fate of 4,000 Missing Persons at UN Meeting

New York, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov has called on the international community to intensify efforts to determine the fate of nearly 4,000 Azerbaijanis who remain missing as a result of Armenia’s aggression, Azernews reported.
Speaking at the High-Level Meeting on “Missing Persons in Armed Conflict: Advancing the Search for Answers” during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Mammadov emphasized the urgent humanitarian dimension of the issue.
He noted that the unresolved cases of thousands of missing Azerbaijanis continue to cause deep suffering for families, urging stronger international cooperation to uncover the truth and ensure justice.
The Deputy Minister’s remarks reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s long-standing call for accountability and global action to address the humanitarian consequences of the conflict.
