Azerbaijani and Iraqi Foreign Ministers Discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a telephone discussion with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, to address escalating tensions in the Middle East and explore areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Hussein expressed concern over the intensifying regional conflicts, highlighting the risks posed by a prolonged crisis. In turn, Minister Bayramov briefed Hussein on Azerbaijan’s preparations to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), scheduled to commence in Azerbaijan in the coming days.
The conversation included an exchange on prospects for deepening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iraq and touched upon additional matters of mutual interest. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties and promoting stability in the region.
