Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: On August 23, Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva, First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the “Mekhrli” school in Tashkent. The visit, which was reported by the NHC, highlighted the ongoing efforts to support the education and rehabilitation of children undergoing long-term medical treatment.
During the visit, the first ladies were briefed on the school’s operations and its role within the Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Clinical Immunology. The “Mekhrli” school is dedicated to providing continuous, high-quality education to children who are unable to attend regular schools or kindergartens due to their medical conditions. The institution offers both preschool and general secondary education, with a strong focus on the full rehabilitation and socialization of the children. Parents are actively involved in the educational process, which is facilitated by the use of digital textbooks and teaching materials.
For students in grades 1-11, the school offers education in 12 subjects and features a creative studio where children can explore music and visual arts. The comprehensive curriculum is designed to cater to the diverse needs of the students while fostering their creative talents.
Following their tour, First Ladies Aliyeva and Mirziyoyeva met with the children and viewed their handmade crafts. The visit concluded with a photo session, where the first ladies posed for photographs with the children, capturing a moment of solidarity and support.
