Azerbaijani Defense Leaders Meet Families of Turkish Martyrs Visiting under “YAŞAT” Foundation Program

Baku, The Gulf Observer: On August 2, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, held a meeting with the families of Turkish martyrs who are visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of the “YAŞAT” Foundation.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, reported by Azernews, the Azerbaijani officials warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed deep appreciation for their presence.

Minister Hasanov highlighted that the memory of martyrs from both Azerbaijan and Türkiye is honored with the utmost respect. He noted that special attention and care are provided to the families of martyrs, in line with the directives of the presidents of both brotherly nations.

The meeting emphasized that such exchange visits play a significant role in further strengthening the historic friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

In response, members of the Turkish delegation expressed sincere gratitude for the hospitality and the respect extended to them during their stay.

As part of their visit, the delegation is touring various historical and cultural landmarks across Azerbaijan, allowing them to experience the country’s rich heritage and architectural beauty.
