Azerbaijani Digital Development Minister Meets Japanese Ambassador to Expand Cooperation
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Rashad Nabiyev, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with Katsuya Watanabe, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan. The discussions primarily centered around enhancing collaboration between the two nations in the fields of transport and information and communication technologies (ICT).
Minister Nabiyev took to X to share insights from the meeting, expressing mutual interest in expanding cooperation in the specified sectors. The exchange of views also extended to the prestigious event COP29, scheduled to be hosted by Azerbaijan later this year.
Earlier this year, during the credential acceptance ceremony for Ambassador Katsuya Watanabe, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, both nations acknowledged the significance of developing a green society and fostering technology-driven advancements. Ambassador Watanabe highlighted the substantial opportunities for cooperation between Japan and Azerbaijan in these domains, emphasizing his commitment to actively contribute to the growth of bilateral relations.
As both nations continue to explore synergies, the collaborative efforts are expected to contribute significantly to advancements in transport, ICT, and the broader spectrum of technological innovations.
