Azerbaijani FM Meets with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: During his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, as reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting focused on the prospects for cooperation in defense and military sectors, as well as collaboration between the specialized institutions of both countries in the defense industry. Minister Bayramov underscored the importance of mutual visits and close contacts to foster military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
The discussions highlighted the significance of bilateral military exercises in enhancing the effectiveness of joint activities between the armed forces of the two countries. They also emphasized the value of experience exchanges among respective military branches and noted the importance of trilateral military drills in the Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Pakistan format.
Minister Bayramov briefed General Munir on the ongoing peace agenda and normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He detailed the recent agreements concerning the return of four villages to Azerbaijan and the delimitation of a specific part of the border.
Additionally, the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest, further strengthening the ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
