Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Hails Türkiye’s Achievements at Republic Day Celebration in Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova reaffirmed the enduring strength of Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations during an event in Baku marking the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.
“We in Azerbaijan rejoice in the successes of brotherly Türkiye. As National Leader Heydar Aliyev said, Azerbaijan and Türkiye are ‘One nation, two states.’ The friendly and fraternal relations between our countries draw strength from our common roots and national-spiritual values, and are based on mutual respect and trust,” Gafarova stated.
The Speaker highlighted that the Shusha Declaration had elevated bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye to their highest level — the level of alliance, underscoring the strategic partnership that continues to flourish across political, economic, and cultural spheres.
Gafarova further emphasized that Azerbaijan will never forget Türkiye’s steadfast support during the 44-day Patriotic War, which led to the liberation of Azerbaijani territories. She noted that Türkiye continues to stand by Azerbaijan as it advances its reconstruction and development efforts in the Garabagh and East Zangezur regions.
The event in Baku served as a testament to the deep-rooted solidarity and shared vision of both nations, bound by history, culture, and a commitment to mutual progress and regional stability.
