Azerbaijani Parliamentary Delegation Departs for Turkmenistan to Attend LLDCs Parliamentary Forum

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A delegation of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) led by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova departed for Turkmenistan on Saturday to participate in the Parliamentary Forum organized within the framework of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).

The Forum, scheduled to take place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, will gather parliamentary leaders from LLDCs and partner countries to discuss legislative strategies aimed at advancing sustainable development, connectivity, and regional cooperation.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova is set to chair the first session of the Forum, underscoring Azerbaijan’s active engagement in addressing the challenges faced by landlocked developing nations. She is also expected to deliver a keynote speech highlighting Azerbaijan’s perspectives on enhancing multilateral parliamentary collaboration and supporting the UN’s sustainable development agenda.

During her visit, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis will also hold several bilateral meetings with counterparts and high-level representatives participating in the Forum, aimed at strengthening inter-parliamentary relations and exploring avenues for broader cooperation.
