Azerbaijan’s Presidential Election Campaign Commences Today
Baku, The Gulf Observer: The commencement of the election campaign for the imminent snap presidential election is officially underway in Azerbaijan, according to media reports.
The campaign is scheduled to conclude at 8:00 am on February 6th.
The pre-election campaign period, as mandated for registered candidates, their duly authorized representatives, proxies, and political parties with registered candidates or blocs of political parties, along with their authorized representatives and proxies, is stipulated to commence 23 days prior to the voting day. It is imperative to adhere to the regulatory framework, ensuring that all campaign activities are diligently conducted within this designated timeframe. Equally significant, this campaign period is required to conclude precisely 24 hours before the initiation of the voting process. This temporal structure serves to uphold the integrity and fairness of the electoral process, fostering an environment conducive to informed decision-making by the electorate.
The pre-election campaign for the early presidential elections starts today and the campaign should end at 8:00 a.m. on February 6.
The list of the registered presidential candidates in Azerbaijan will be published by January 18, 2024.
