HM the King’s Cup Endurance Ride Festival

Manama, The Gulf Observer: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain International Endurance Village witnessed the prestigious HM the King’s Cup Endurance Ride Festival, featuring the highly anticipated 160-km race and the 120-km race for private stables.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, graced the event with their presence.

Accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdula Al Khalifa, BREEF President, and numerous officials, the distinguished guests expressed their commitment to and passion for equestrian sports, further reinforcing Bahrain’s dedication to the flourishing discipline.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser extended gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad for steadfastly supporting endurance races, emphasizing that the HM the King’s Endurance Festival stands as a pinnacle in local championships, providing jockeys with a gateway to major titles.

The recognition was extended to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his unwavering support for sports, particularly in the realm of endurance.

In commendation of the winners of various races within HM the King’s Endurance Festival, HH Shaikh Nasser lauded BREEF’s exceptional organization of the event. The high point of the festival was reached as HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad crowned the victors of the races.

The 160-km race saw Jockey HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, from Team Victorious, securing the first position, followed by Mohammed Abdulsamad from the Al-Ruud Team, and Michaela Supekova from Team Victorious, clinching the second and third places, respectively.

In the 120-km private stables race, Jockeys Nasser Hamad Al Qahtani, Hamad Ismail Al Balushi, and Maha Ali Mohammed claimed the first, second, and third positions, respectively.

Expressing his satisfaction at winning the prestigious cup bearing HM the King’s name, HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal commended HH Shaikh Nasser’s continuous support and guidance throughout the race, expressing pride in the achievement and acknowledging the support from his father, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid.

Nasser Al Qahtani, the victor of the private stables race, conveyed his delight at realizing the dream of winning the cup bearing HM the King’s name and expressed unwavering support to HH Shaikh Nasser for his constant backing of all jockeys.
