Bali Named World’s Best Tourism Destination

Denpasar, The Gulf Observer: Bali has been named the world’s best tourism destination by travel services company TripAdvisor, with provincial authorities hailing the recognition as a testament to the island’s resilience in overcoming negative perceptions, officials said on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Wayan Koster stated, “Bali ranks number one among the world’s top 10 tourism destinations, marking the highest position the island has ever achieved. Despite facing rumors related to waste management, traffic congestion, and occupancy, Bali remains unshakable.”
According to TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best, Bali secured the top spot, followed by London, Dubai, Hanoi, and Paris in the top five destinations.
Governor Koster emphasized that the achievement reflects the provincial authority’s consistent efforts to maintain a tourism environment rooted in local culture, traditions, arts, and nature. He also expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and residents who actively contribute to sustaining Bali’s tourism quality, which has earned global recognition.
Koster further assured that the provincial administration would continue to improve tourism infrastructure to ensure long-term sustainability.
In addition to being recognized as the Best Destination, Bali also received accolades as one of the Top Honeymoon Destinations, Top 10 Cultural Destinations, Top 10 Solo Travel Destinations, and Top 20 Trending Cities.
Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana noted that the award reflects millions of reviews submitted by global travelers over the past year. “Its selection as the best tourism destination, according to TripAdvisor, proves that Bali remains a magnet for global tourism,” she said, adding, “We want to ensure that Bali grows as a high-quality tourism destination that benefits local communities, preserves the environment, and inspires the world.”
