Belgian Ambassador Meets Pakistan’s Law Minister Ahead of GSP+ Mission, Discusses Human Rights and Legal Reforms

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Ambassador of Belgium to Pakistan, Charles van der Gracht, held a constructive meeting this morning with Federal Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, as part of preparations for the upcoming EU GSP+ monitoring mission.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in a fruitful exchange on the state of human rights in Pakistan, acknowledging ongoing challenges while also recognizing significant progress in the areas of human rights protection and criminal justice reform.
Ambassador van der Gracht expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts and reaffirmed Belgium’s commitment to continued cooperation on these important issues. The two sides agreed to further strengthen dialogue and collaboration in support of shared values and international obligations under the GSP+ framework.
