Blinken will visit Qatar

Doha, The Gulf Observer: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the State of Qatar on November 21-22 to launch the fifth US-Qatar Strategic Dialogue.

The statement indicated that during his visit, Blinken will meet with senior Qatari officials, including HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. 

On this occasion, secretary Blinken will reiterate US appreciation for the long-standing partnership between the United States and Qatar and discuss a range of issues, including security cooperation, trade and investment, climate change, global health, humanitarian assistance, international development, and other issues.

The statement pointed out that during his visit to Doha, the US Secretary of State will discuss Qatars important contribution to international sports diplomacy, especially as it hosts the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
