China and Grenada Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC), met with Dickon Mitchell, the Prime Minister of Grenada, in Beijing on Monday to discuss enhancing bilateral ties and cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, Zhao expressed China’s readiness to work closely with Grenada to implement the important agreements reached by the leaders of both countries. He highlighted that China is committed to being a like-minded friend and partner with Grenada, working hand in hand for common development and mutual benefits.
Zhao also noted that the NPC of China is keen to maintain friendly exchanges with Grenada’s parliament. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in legislation, supervision, and governance to create a conducive legal environment and to consolidate public support for deepening bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Mitchell reaffirmed Grenada’s strong commitment to developing relations with China and its unwavering support for the One-China principle. He expressed Grenada’s willingness to learn from China’s successful development experience and deepen cooperation in various fields. Mitchell also underscored the importance of strengthening exchanges between the legislative bodies of both countries to achieve common development.
