China Expresses Commitment to Global Cooperation with World Bank

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang welcomed a delegation of executive directors from the World Bank in Beijing, expressing China’s readiness to collaborate and actively contribute to addressing global challenges.

Ding, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, acknowledged the longstanding, extensive, and fruitful cooperation between China and the World Bank. He emphasized China’s commitment to working closely with the World Bank to play an active role in global poverty reduction, sustainable development, and enhanced collaboration in crucial areas such as climate change response and biodiversity.

Highlighting the remarkable economic progress over the past year, Ding stated that China, as the largest engine of world economic growth, has experienced a rebound and made significant strides in high-quality development. He pledged China’s continued efforts to optimize its business environment, foster high-level opening-up, actively utilize foreign investment, and contribute robust momentum to the global economy.

The executive directors of the World Bank delegation expressed their appreciation for the strong partnership with China, emphasizing the World Bank’s commitment to deepening the development partnership further.
