Beijing, The Gulf Observer: The China National Space Administration (CNSA) has announced that the highly anticipated launch of the Chang’e-6 lunar probe is slated to occur at the outset of May, marking a pivotal milestone in China’s ambitious space exploration endeavors.

Over the weekend, the Chang’e-6 lunar probe, coupled with the Long March-5 Y8 carrier rocket, underwent a crucial vertical transfer to the designated launch area at the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan Province, situated in southern China, as confirmed by the CNSA.

The intricate process saw the combination of the lunar probe and carrier rocket being carefully maneuvered from the vertical test building onto a removable launch pad before being transported to its designated launch site, ensuring meticulous attention to safety and precision throughout the operation.

Ahead of the scheduled launch, rigorous functional checks, joint testing, and propellant filling procedures will be meticulously carried out to ascertain the readiness and reliability of the spacecraft.

The forthcoming mission of the Chang’e-6 lunar probe is poised to be a landmark achievement in human history, as it aims to collect samples from the far side of the moon, a feat unprecedented in lunar exploration. With preparations for assembly, testing, and other logistical tasks already completed since the probe and carrier rocket arrived at the launch site earlier in the year, anticipation is mounting for the commencement of this historic mission.

As China continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing space exploration and scientific discovery, the upcoming launch of the Chang’e-6 lunar probe underscores the nation’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and unlocking the mysteries of the cosmos.
