China to Conduct Nationwide Population Sample Survey in 2025

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced plans to conduct a nationwide population sample survey in 2025 to monitor the country’s demographic development. Approximately 14 million people from around five million households, representing 1 percent of China’s population, will be surveyed between November 1 and the end of that year.

Participants will be asked about various aspects of their lives, including age, gender, education level, marital status, and housing conditions. The data collected will provide valuable insights into China’s evolving population trends and socio-economic landscape.

This will be the fifth population sample survey conducted by China since the first one in 1987. The findings are expected to play a critical role in shaping policies aimed at addressing demographic challenges and supporting the nation’s future development.
