China, U.S. share far more mutual interests than differences
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: China and the United States share far more mutual interests than differences, Sun Yeli, spokesperson for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said on Saturday during a press conference at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
China-U.S. relations are vital to the world’s future, and whether the two countries can manage their relations well is a question for which both need to have a good answer, Sun said.
Noting that the two countries’ trade cooperation has supported 2.6 million jobs in the U.S., Sun pointed out that steady and healthy bilateral relations benefit both Chinese and Americans.
He added that two-way trade between China and the U.S. reached a record of over $750 billion in 2021, a 28.7-percent rise from the previous year.
The international community expects China and the U.S. to take a leading role, take up their responsibility and stabilize bilateral relations, Sun said.
