President of China stresses saving lives as top priority for quake relief in Sichuan.
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed that saving people’s lives should be the top priority for disaster relief work in the quake-hit areas in Sichuan Province.
President Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, issued the instruction as a magnitude-6.8 earthquake jolted Luding County in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Monday.
