Death toll rises to 82 after powerful earthquake in China's Sichuan.
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: A magnitude 6.8 earthquake jolted Luding County, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, at 12:52 p.m. on Monday. A total of 82 people were killed, over 270 injured, 35 missing, the local authorities reported as of 8 a.m on Thursday.
Minor aftershocks are still rattling the areas after the first strong shake hit on Monday. Search and relief efforts face difficulties primarily of road blockage and raining.
