Chinese coaches to inspire passengers of Pakistan Railways
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: China has provided the train coaches to Pakistan equipped with WiFi, stylish seating arrangement etc to ply as Green Line Express train from Islamabad to Karachi through cities across Punjab and Sindh provinces.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the formal induction ceremony of the train coaches by stating that it will surely help Pakistsn Railways to attract the passengers and give boost to its revenue.
The Prime Minister added that the initiative will not only serve as image boosting of Pakistan Railways but multiply the commuters also.
On his part the Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the Service has been resumed with the help of Chinese friends and brothers , halted due to worst flooding in the country causing heavy losses to Pakistan Railways .
The Minister went on to say that Pakistan has so far received 46 coaches from China and the remaining will be built in Pakistan under the Technology Transfer Agreement.
It merits to mention here that the train consists of nine coaches, six new imported from China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) and three rehabilitated imported from China during 2015.
