Chinese commerce minister meets with United States commerce secretary
Washington, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao, who is in the United States to attend the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting, met with U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo in Washington on Thursday, according to China’s commerce ministry.
The two sides had “candid, professional and constructive exchanges” on China-U.S. economic and trade relations as well as economic and trade issues of mutual concern, the ministry said.
The Chinese side expressed key concerns over the U.S. economic and trade policies towards China, semiconductor policy, export control and review of outbound investment. Both sides agreed to establish communication channels in order to maintain and strengthen exchanges on specific economic and trade concerns, as well as cooperation matters.
