Chinese Premier Li Qiang to Visit Saudi Arabia and UAE
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Premier Li Qiang will visit Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 10 to 13, where he will chair the Fourth Meeting of the High-Level Chinese-Saudi Joint Committee, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.
According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, Premier Li’s visit comes at the invitation of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, and the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
During his trip, Premier Li will lead discussions on strengthening bilateral ties and furthering cooperation across various sectors, particularly in trade, investment, energy, and technological innovation. His participation in the high-level Chinese-Saudi Joint Committee underscores China’s commitment to deepening its strategic partnerships with both Saudi Arabia and the UAE, key players in the Middle East and vital partners in China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
This visit highlights China’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with the Gulf region, furthering mutual interests in regional stability and economic development.
